Where are you located?

We are in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We do not have a physical location that can be visited, we are a traveling petting zoo. We set up at your location of choice 30 minutes outside of the 20854 area code. 

How long should our event be?

Our minimum recommendation is one hour for groups of up to 20 children as we want to allow for enough time for each child to have special, one-on-one time with the animals. For larger groups, we recommend adding an additional half-hour to hour, depending on group size. If you are unsure how long your party should be, Just ask! Once we have all of your information provided in our Reservation Form we will be able to provide you with our recommended time. 

What happens if there is bad weather on the date of our event?

We are pros at setting up indoors! We set up on top of a tarp to protect your floors and leave no mess behind. If rain is in the forecast we will be in constant contact with you the week before the event to make all of the proper arrangements, If there is thunder and/or lightning we will not be able to have the event outdoors, there is also a high possibility that pony rides will be canceled if ground conditions are not proper. 

Size requirements: 12ft X 12ft area for our Bunny and Buddy and 20ft X 12ft for our larger packages, but can usually accommodate a variety of areas--Just ask! We can also set up in a garage or covered patio area. 

How do I pay for my event?

The cost will be payable in cash, check payable to Squeals on Wheels, or Postal Money Order at the conclusion of the party/event. No deposit is required. We do not accept credit cards or any other types of money orders. We can sign your copy of the invoice we provide and you can use it as your receipt. 

Tips for our employees, payable in cash or separate check, are not expected but are appreciated! Please do not include staff tips in Squeals on Wheels check or money order. 

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). We are fully insured and can provide proof of insurance upon request (additional charges may apply in order to be added to our policy). 

What time do you arrive and when should my guests arrive?

We will arrive approximately 15 to 20 minutes before the start-time. We usually recommend that we start the zoo about 15-30 minutes after your party starts in order to accommodate guests who arrive late. We require a parking place for a full-sized van as close as possible to the set-up location. For our larger packages (Barnyard, Dr. Doolittle, Ol' McDonald) we require a parking place for a full-sized van towing a horse trailer as close as possible to the set-up location. 

Are there any additional travel fees and how far do you travel?

We travel 30 minutes outside of the 20854 zip code. The cost for travel is $1 per mile round-trip from our home-base to the event address and will be included in your invoice. 

How far in advance can I schedule my event?

We usually recommend scheduling your event at least 1-2 months ahead of time. However, if you're thinking about it now best thing to do is to book! Spring-Fall is especially busy, so best to plan ahead!

Can we come to your farm?

We do not have a physical location that can be visited, we are a traveling petting zoo. We would love to attend your event at your location!
